On Thursday 12th October the Department of Marketing hosted its first mini-conference for internal and external staff under the title: Internal and External: One Institute.

It was heartening to see such engagement and commitment to our roles in delivering world-class teaching in marketing. It was also sobering to hear that much more can be done to improve communication and cooperation between our internal and external staff. The first move has been the establishment of a closed Facebook group: Marketing for CBS Professionals, administered by Michael Raffnsøe and intended to create a platform for the sharing of information and ideas in relation to teaching.

As a department we will continue to commit ourselves to building upon the strong relationships we have with our external staff through our current and future initiatives and through individual level cooperation. Our next event will be a company visit where we will continue in the tracks of our successful visits to Årstiderne and Carlsberg, where we will combine practitioner and research presentations with social activities. Furthermore, we will keep everyone informed through postings on Facebook, our improved homepage and will be looking into an email service.
