I am pursuing my PhD within the field of strategic leadership. I am interested in the impact of top executives' characteristics on organizational processes and outcomes, particularly in the interface of CEO personality and top management team (TMT) dynamics. What are the implications for strategic decision-making, top management team effectiveness and diversity in the upper echelon when for e.g. narcissistic CEOs are at the helm? How do these interfaces differ in their function and effectiveness when examined in different contexts for e.g. small and medium enterprises as opposed to large-scale corporations? How CEO–TMT interplay could elucidate how a firm's strategic actions and decisions are determined by its dominant coalition.
