I am an American and my wife is Danish. I studied at four American universities, earning a B.A. and an M.A. in romance languages. My wife and I lived and studied 5 years in Paris before coming to Denmark. Before teaching at CBS, I worked as a consultant with some 30 multinational companies. I have also worked for a number of years as a translator and an interpreter – consecutive and simultaneous – (English-French-Danish) – in multinationals and a number of Danish ministries,. I am also currently employed in a Gymnasium, where I have been teaching English, French and Computer Science. One of my main interests is language in its multiple forms, from semantics and pragmatics to multicultural communication.
In CBS, I have taught a number of undergraduate and graduate courses, such as “Professional Oral Communication”, “Multicultural Communication” and “Oral Interaction”.
This semester, I am supervising a number of M.A. theses.
My areas of special interest are Branding, Crisis Communication, CSR, Marketing Across Cultures,
