MSC has been selected to host the joint secretariat for CBS’ three new Business-in-Society Platforms, which have come into existence on 1 January 2018.

It is anticipated that a joint secretariat will enable synergy and collaboration between the three platforms and provide a robust and dynamic support infrastructure for the many activities planned and envisaged. It is staffed by two full-time administrative officers.

MSC contributes with members to all three platforms and with academic co-directorship to two of them:

  • Difference & Diversity is headed jointly by Associate Professors Dorte Lønsmann (MSC) and Sara Louise Muhr (IOA), and has members from MSC, IOA, INT, MPP, DBP, OM and ECON.

  • Transformations: Technology, Data and Knowledge in the Digital Age is headed jointly by Professors (MSO) Mikkel Flyverbom (MSC) and Ionna Constantiou (DIGIT). Members come from MSC, DIGI, DBP, ECON, IOA and INO (and more are likely to be involved).

  • The third platform, Inequality, is headed by Associate Professors Mogens Kamp Justesen (DBP) and Birthe larsen (ECON). Members come from DBP, ECON, INT and MSC.

Moreover, MSC also has a significant stake in two of the tree research areas that have been granted seed money to further develop their initial proposal for BiS Platform status, i.e.

  • Circular Economy led by Associate Professor Steen Vallentin (MPP) and Associate Professor Jesper Clement (MARKTG) with involvement from several other departments at CBS.

  • CBS Africa initiative led by Associate Professor Søren Jeppesen (MSC) and with involvement from several other departments at CBS.
