Enthusiastic review of CBS Permahaven in AMLE

    Permahaven

CBS Permahaven, a permaculture garden located on CBS’ campus and coordinated by MSC scholars, has received a very positive review in the Book and Resource Review section of the current issue of the Academy of Management Learning and Education journal.

AMLE is the leading journal covering research on teaching, learning, and education in management and organizational studies. It has a high impact factor and is widely cited and respected across academic disciplines.

Among other things, the review praises the capacity of Permahaven and its activities to 'evoke feelings for engaging in broader planetary discussions' among business students and encourages readers "if you are looking for inspiration to engage head, heart, and hands for your management class, have a look at Permahaven. Consider the difference between retaining learning from reading, at 10%, compared to experiential (getting your hands dirty) learning, which is at 90%".

The Permahaven team would like to extend their thanks to all volunteers and others involved for helping to develop the garden into a learning hub for regenerative approaches.

More about Permahaven
The garden is located next to the Water Tower by Nordre Fasanvej Metro Station. It serves as a shared learning space where CBS students, staff, and local residents can exchange knowledge about sustainability, support

biodiversity, and promote well-being.

As one of Scandinavia’s largest business schools, CBS has been based in Frederiksberg since 2000 and is a permanent part of the local cityscape. Permahaven supports CBS’s aim to engage more deeply with the community by encouraging collaboration with local groups - including children’s and elderly institutions, ethnic minorities, and the unemployed.

Inspired by permaculture principles, Permahaven contributes to Frederiksberg Municipality’s Biodiversity Strategy by transforming more campus space into green areas, creating ecological corridors, and opening the campus as a living lab for sustainable change.
