In order to obtain the PhD degree Toyoko Sato, Doctoral School of Organisation and Management Studies, has submitted her thesis entitled:

Performativity and Discourse: Japanese Advertisements on the Aesthetic Education of Desire

This dissertation is an exploratory research of advertisements presented by the Seibu Department Stores and Parco in the form of a longitudinal case study of both advertisements and the advertisers.
