Challenges for the European Union in 2015

Ambassador Kaspars Ozolins, Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Denmark, will talk about Latvia’s EU presidency and the challenges facing the EU in 2015. These include both the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the possibility of a Greek renegotiation of its bailout terms.
The Ambassador will also talk about Latvia’s adoption of the Euro last year, less than five years after the country had to be bailed out early in the financial crisis. What lessons can be learned from Latvia’s reform process and rapid turnaround in the current context?
