Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (cbsCSR)
In accordance with cbsCSR’s mission, collaboration with a large network of partners from academic institutions, the public sector, civil organisations and private businesses is vital. We engage with and involve our external stakeholders in a broad range of activities such as research, PhD projects, conferences, seminars, education and knowledge groups.
Moreover, cbsCSR researchers are extensively invited to give lectures, participate in committees, boards, advice companies and other organisations on CSR issues as well as actively taking part in the public debate.
We are always looking for new and innovative ways to engage with its external stakeholders. Organisations and businesses interested in collaborating with the Centre and in the topic of CSR are therefore always welcome to contact us.
The Knowledge Group, established in 2010, is a collaborative network hosted by cbsCSR. The Knowledge Group is run by Associate Professor Steen Vallentin and consists of CSR professionals from a wide range of large Danish companies. Currently, the Group consists of representatives from Arla Foods, ATP, Carlsberg Group, FDB, IKEA, A.P Møller-Mærsk, Novo Nordisk, Novozymes and Tryg.
The purpose of the group is to be a forum for knowledge-sharing amongst practitioners and academia within the field of CSR. The group meets in seminar settings 4 times a year to discuss different themes within the CSR agenda. Participants are provided with academic readings and through presentations and intense discussions, challenges and opportunities of CSR are debated with an eye for both practical and theoretical concerns.
Throughout the years, the Knowledge Group has been visited by a range of guest professors and other leading experts from both Danish, as well as international institutions. Professor Guido Palazzo from HEC Lausanne, Switzerland and Professor Andrew Crane from York University, Canada, have amongst others been guest speakers at Knowledge Group seminars.
