Luisa Murphy successfully defended her PhD

Revisiting the standard organization of multi-stakeholder initiatives (MSIs).

06/15/2020

The thesis is entitled ‘‘Revisiting the standard organization of multi-stakeholder initiatives (MSIs): The case of a meta-MSI in Southeast Asia’.  The assessment committee was Stefano Ponte, Professor of International Political Economy, MSC, CBS (Chair); Dima Jamali, Professor of Management, Olayan School of Business, American University of Beirut; and Judith Schrempf-Stirling, Associate Professor of Responsible Management, Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM), University of Geneva.
Although the virtual nature of the event meant for some loss of the usual features of a CBS PhD defense, note least the party.  It is worth noting that it attracted about 30 participants and the technology enabled participation from around the world, including Luisa’s family from the USA and a professional colleague from Singapore.
This brings to an end a third chapter of Luisa’s collaboration with CBS, having previously held Project Manager positions with the CBS Sustainability Platform and the VELUX Chair of Corporate Sustainability.  But we trust that the many relationships formed over these years will continue in some form or other.
