Associate Professor Maria Figueroa joins the Leadership Council on the SDSN Northern Europe!

Associate Professor Maria Figueroa has been recently invited to become a member of the Leadership Council on the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Northern Europe to help them to move the network forward in this decade of action for the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.

The SDSN Northern Europe Leadership Council comprises eminent leaders and experts on sustainable development from their member organizations, and provides intellectual stewardship, stimulate dialogue, advance the network’s vision, and help to strategically source and mobilize human and financial resources. SDSN Northern Europe includes Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.

Maria is Associate Professor in Sustainability Management at the Department of Management Society and Communication at Copenhagen Business School.  Her research intersects scholarship from urban sustainability science, comparative international politics of climate mitigation, innovation, and partnerships for sustainable development. She focuses on the assessments of drivers, trends and challenges of low carbon transitions and sustainable development. She works to understand these drivers and trends at different geographical and administrative levels.

Maria has accepted their invitation and we will look forward to seeing her future activities within the SDSN Northern Europe. Congratulations!
