Presentation and discussion on Business Models for Sustainability: Recent Developments and Future Avenues

The presentation and discussion will be led by Dr. Florian Lüdeke-Freund.

Florian Lüdeke-Freund is Senior Research Associate at University of Hamburg, Hamburg, School of Business, Economics and Social Sciences. He is a leading figure in research on business models for sustainability; a topic which has attracted significant scholarly attention in the last decade. Florian Lüdeke-Freund’s work addresses the intersections between sustainability, business models, innovation, and performance and has been widely published in journals like Journal of Cleaner Production and Organization & Environment. Florian Lüdeke-Freund is also the initiator of a popular blog on business models for sustainability.
 
The seminar will include presentation and discussion of state of the art and current developments in the fast-growing research on business models for sustainability. The presentation will draw on Florian Lüdeke-Freund’s recent experiences from co-editing a special issue  of Organisation & Environment on Business Models for Sustainability (2016), Moreover, the research seminar will present results from a new report on ”Business Models for Shared Value” (2016) which has been prepared for Network on Business Sustainability (NBS) by Florian Lüdeke-Freund, Lorenzo Massa, Nancy Bocken, Alan Brent, & Josephine Musango.
