Presentation

My project scrutinizes fluid forms of organization in civil society, which are boosted by technological developments and shaped through their affordances. From the stance of a processual-relational ontology I work with a practice lens to explore how ‘organizationality’ plays out, the role of social media herein and what characterizes engagement produced in such organizing. I use these insight to discuss the democratic implications of these new forms of organization.

I am part of the research project Civil Society in the Shadow of the State (Cistas.dk) and a member of the research organizations Association of Internet Researchers (AOIR), International Society of Third Sector Research (ISTR) and the European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS).

I hold a MA in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen and have a decade of practical experience working with different issues pertaining to civil society development and socially disadvantaged youth through employment in state, municipality and a social housing association

Primary research areas
  • Fluid forms of organization

  • Distributed collective action

  • Social media affordances in organizing

  • Civic action through leisure

  • Democratic innovation in public sector and civil society
