Presentation

I have joined CBS as an Associate Professor for Business History in 2008. In 1999, I have earned my Dr. phil. at University of Bielefeld (Economic History), from 2000 through 2008 I have been researching and teaching Economic and Social History, at the Department of Economics, University of Cologne.

My current research relates to economic change (project: "The Emergence of a »New Economy« - Industrial and Institutional Revolution in the Rhineland, 1790-1860"), to Entrepreneurship and Innovation (see: "Beiersdorf"), and to Corporate Governance (see: "Beiersdorf"). I am beginning more comprehensive work into "Stability and Instability of Political Economic Regimes" (see: "Weimar Germany: The First Open Access Order that Failed", more work is forthcoming).

I am co-editor of the book series Economic and Social History of Modern Europe (Nomos: Baden-Baden)
