Spring is just around the corner, and while we are waiting for warmer weather, we can look forward to yet another herald of spring, the Festival of Research. From 19-21 April, the science festival will host events all over Denmark, and in keeping with tradition, CBS also open the doors.

Leadership and philosophy

On 20 April, two events will take place at CBS Campus.

Professor Flemming Poulfelt is an expert in leadership, and has been quoted in the media in connection with the DONG case. He will be starting the day with what he describes as a "leadership injection", which consists of a combination of the demands and characteristics that the leaders of the future have to be able to navigate in. This is a unique opportunity to listen to an experienced leadership researcher present a picture of the leadership of the future.

Later the same day, Ole Thyssen, Doctor of Philosophy, will set the scene with his new and commended book, 'Det filosofiske blik - Europæiske mestertænkere (the philosophic eye - European master thinkers). A book that has been acknowledged for its comprehensive view, and in which all the great thinkers since Plato and now Habermas, Luhmann and Foucault are included.

At this event, Ole Thyssen will reflect upon the different ways in which philosophers see and describe the world and how a battle for the philosophic eye arises. Afterwards, there will be a debate between Ole Thyssen, Henrik Dahl, Sociologist, and the participants.
