Short Biography:

Niklas Olsen is Associate Professor at the Saxo-Institute (History Section), University of Copenhagen. He graduated at the University of Copenhagen and wrote his PhD at the European University Institute in Florence. He is the author of History in the Plural: An Introduction to the Work of Reinhart Koselleck (Berghahn Books 2012, paperback version 2014). Among his most recent publications are Critical Theories of Crisis in Europe: From Weimar to the Euro (Edited with Poul Fritz Kjær) (Rowan and Littlefield 2016) and “From Choice to Welfare: The Concept of the Consumer in the Chicago School”, Modern Intellectual History (first view online).
