Presentation
My research interests concern economic and technological change in a cross-border perspective, particularly the globalization of innovation. I apply institutional and international business approaches to an area specialization in emerging economies, especially East Asia. My current research focuses mainly on outward investments from emerging economies (OFDI) and on green transition in emerging economies. I have since 2008 run a biennial conference series on OFDI (https://ofdi.cbs.dk/conferences) and currently coordinate an international network programme between CBS, Northeastern University, Cornell University and University of Texas and head a research project on green energy transition in Indonesia with CBS and a set of Indonesian institutions. Among my publication outlets are Asia-Pacific Journal of Management, Journal of International Management, International Journal of Technology Management, European Management Journal, and International Migration. I have carried out consultancies for the European Commission and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and teach subjects on international trade and investment, international management and strategy, and emerging economies. Before pursuing an academic career, I worked as a senior consultant at Accenture with organizational development in finance and information systems development in healthcare.
