Presentation

My research centers on the role of science and technology in the interplay between society and the environment, and the role of science in relation to the production of climate, water, and hydropower policies in China and beyond. I am particularly interested in how public debate related to the environment unfolds in China. Based on ethnographic fieldwork and interviews in China, the US and Europe as well as on studies of Chinese and global climate policy documents, my PhD research focuses on the concept of hydropower sustainability and how this is shaped both globally and locally in China. My PhD is a joint project with the Sino-Danish Center for Education and Research (SDC) and I am part of an ARC project on Chinese State-Owned Enterprises and public sector reform in China.
