At CLCS, members are engaged with scholars and the practice community at various levels.

Partnership projects include:

  • All members of CLCS are also members of Imagine.. Creative Industries Research, CBS. Can Seng Ooi and Ana María Munar are members of the board. www.cbs.dk/imagine
     

  • Can-Seng Ooi and Ana Maria Munar are part of the project – Creativity for Innovation & Growth in Europe. This EU-funded project has many partners. Besides CBS, project partners include University of Manchester, Universita Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, University of Brighton, Corvinus University of Budapest, Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands), National Technical University of Athens, Polytechnic of Milan, Technical University of Munich, University of Gothenburg, ZEW (Centre for European Economic Research), Germany.
     

  • CLCS is hosting the international conference “Celebrating and Enhancing the Tourism Knowledge-based Platform: A Tribute to Jafar Jafari”, 23-25 October 2013, together with the University of the Balearic Islands. Ana María Munar is the conference convenor. www.jafaritribute.org
     

  • Can-Seng Ooi is Editor of Asia Matters: Business, Society and Theory, in partnership with Heidi Dahles (Griffith University, Australia) and Juliette Koning (Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom). (www.journalasiamatters.org)
     

  • Can-Seng Ooi is an International Advisory Board member of the Yellow River Arts Centre at Yinchuan, China. This eight-member board is the first and only international advisory board for a museum in the country.  www.yrac.cn
     

  • Kristian Anders Hvass is a co-editor with other members of the Association of Tourism Researchers in Denmark on a forth-coming book concerning qualitative research methodologies within tourism research.
     

  • CLCS is organizing together with colleagues from Aalborg University, the 23rd Nordic Symposium of Tourism and Hospitality Research, in fall 2014. Adriana Budeanu is responsible with the organization of the event.
