Lawyer Marianne Philip becomes Adjunct Professor

CBS' efforts into the area of board work receives another boost. Marianne Philip, the new Adjunct Professor at the Center for Corporate Governance (CCG), has extensive experience with board work and knowledge of Corporate Governance.

With her appointment CBS will have another strong player affiliated with the area of board work and corporate management.  The latest addition to the area was Ole Andersen, Board Chairman of i.a. Danske Bank and B&O, who is now affiliated with CCG. Now Marianne Philip, member and chairwoman of a number of boards, will be appointed as Adjunct Professor, also at CCG.   

Marianne Philip is lawyer and partner at Kromann Reumert and i.a. Chairwoman of Komitéen for god Fondsledelse (the Committee on Foundation Governance) and Toms Gruppens Fond.
 
-    The appointment of Marianne Philip is part of the collaboration between CBS and the Danish business community and a recognition of Marianne Philip's very qualified and outstanding contribution to the development of Corporate Governance and corporate management, explains Steen Thomsen, Professor and Chairman of CCG.

Marianne Philip will among other things contribute to the research project ”Dansk Selskabsledelse i Praksis” (Danish Corporate Management in Practice). The project studies the relation between value creation and board conduct, and the significance of the chairmanship's role in management of the board and collaboration with the executive management.

Marianne Philip will give her inaugural lecture on Wednesday 20 May at 16:30. The lecture is part of the Board Leadership Society In Denmark's conference on risk management and board responsibility, at which Henrik Heideby, Chairman, will also speak.
