About the Access-2-innovation project

CBS participates in a project called 'Access2Innovation' (see www.access2innovation.com ). It is headed by Aalborg University (AAU), is inspired by the BOP approach and is to include collaboration between local communities/NGOs, companies and researchers/universities.  The focus will be on three African countries (Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya) and on three thematic areas (Food, Water and Renewable Energy). The intentions are that the point of departure is the needs among the local population in the mentioned countries, which are channeled into a process where the involved businesses seek to innovate and design (new) products and services in order to fulfill the needs. Whether this is possible - and in particular whether it can happen on a commercial basis, time will show.
