The Danish company Iver C. Weilbach & Co. A/S was founded in 1755 and is one of the oldest maritime suppliers in the world. A new book written by René Taudal Poulsen, CBS Maritime, analyzes the company's history.

In his book “Weilbach. A Maritime History” Taudal Poulsen, tracing the development of the company from its founding to the present, the book examines why Iver C. Weilbach & Co. A/S was able to survive and how it adapted to more than two and a half centuries of fundamental technological and commercial changes in the maritime world. Most maritime suppliers have proven to have far less enduring business models.
