Henrik Yde Andersen joined PeRCent as PhD student on December 1, 2014 just before the centre’s launch. Henrik has a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics from University of Copenhagen and held a position as economist at the Danish Ministry of Finance before he joined PeRCent.

His project “Essays on Pension Savings” examines how pension systems affect individual consumption and savings decisions, e.g. can we explain developments in household spending and debt by looking at the design of our pension system? Understanding such effects is important for policymakers to stabilize macroeconomic outcomes but also for pension savers and providers to ensure sound economic conditions after retirement.
