Research Workshop 2025: Consumption and Saving over the Life Cycle
This two-day workshop is a joint initiative between the Pension Research Institute in Iceland (PRICE), based at the University of Iceland, and the Pension Research Centre (PeRCent), based at Copenhagen Business School. The workshop is organized by Gylfi Zoega, Thorsteinn S. Sveinsson and Svend E. Hougaard Jensen, and it brings together researchers from across Europe.
The presentations on the first day of the workshop cover pension-related issues, such as retirement, longevity, health, inequality, and impact of pension funds during economic downturns. On the second day a variety of themes are covered: mortgage relief, income mobility, gender and family, burnout, inflation and monetary policy, etc.
The event takes place at Héraðsskólinn near the beautiful Lake Laugarvatn in the middle of the Golden Circle, just an hour‘s drive from Reykjavik. This is a very pleasant site, surrounded by hills, lava fields and fertile countryside.
Participation in the workshop is by invitation only.
However, if you want to join, please send a message to Svend E. Hougaard Jensen at shj.eco@cbs.dk or Gylfi Zoega at gz@hi.is.
