Peter Dalgaard, Professor at Center for Statistics, Department of Finance, is one out of only 11 members that made up the first “R Core” team, the founding fathers of the statistical programming language R.

August 2018 marks the 25th anniversary for the creation of R and the cover story of the Statistical Society’s Significance Magazine is entitled “R Generation”, and features an interview with among others Peter Dalgaard, on the “R Core” team.

Also the Danish online magazine Datatech featured an interview with Peter Dalgaard on R and the “R Core” team’s difficulties with finding successors in August.
