Macroeconomics, Welfare Economics, Public Policy, Income and Wealth Inequality, Inequality in Longevity, Demographic Change, Micro Data, Danish Register Data
The bulk of my research concerns various aspects of welfare state policy, including public pension and education. To study such issues, I most often use models with heterogeneous agents and a rich demographic structure to study how different policies affect economic equity, inequality, and overall efficiency. Moreover, I work with register data to study the redistributive properties of the Danish public pension system, taking into account inequality in longevity.
