Catharina Sikow-Magny is Adjunct Professor at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) at the Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure (CSEI). A Finnish economist by training, she holds an MSc from the Helsinki School of Economics and has completed complementary doctoral courses at KU Leuven. She brings over three decades of experience from the European Commission, most recently until 2024 as Director for the Green Transition and Energy Sector Integration at DG Energy. Her expertise spans energy infrastructure, market design, regulation, and cross-border cooperation. She played a leading role in the development and implementation of the TEN-E Regulation and Connecting Europe Facility. Sikow-Magny has overseen major EU energy programmes and led high-level groups on infrastructure and regional integration. A recognized expert in public economics and energy policy, she has published in the field. At CBS, she will strengthen research and teaching at the intersection of EU policy and energy systems.
