Svend Erik Hougaard Jensen to become new Chairman of Bruegel’s Scientific Council

Svend Erik Hougaard Jensen, Professor at the Department of Economics and Director of the Pension Research Centre (PeRCent) has accepted an invitation to become Chairman of Bruegel’s Scientific Council


As Chair of the Scientific Council, Svend Erik Hougaard Jensen will attend Bruegel’s Board meetings. The Board is currently chaired by Jean-Claude Trichet, former President of the European Central Bank. A complete list of Board Members and Members of the Scientific Council can be seen here:

Bruegel, established in 2005 and based in Brussels, is an independent European think tank with a specialisation in economics. Bruegel’s mission is to improve the quality of economic policy with open and fact-based research, analysis and debate.
