On Friday May 8th, the 4nations cup took place in Rome, Italy. This year, the Danish Team "Kom så Danmark!", consisting of the two CBS professors Morten Sørensen and Steffen Andersen, won the prestigious finance contest.

4nations cup brings together the most promising young scholars from the four competing countries: Denmark, Great-Britain, Italy and Sweden. Each country sets up a scientific committee with members affiliated with universities to select these two special candidates for participation. The four countries take turns in hosting the event which this year brought the contest to Rome.

Both Morten Sørensen and Steffen Andersen gave a 40 minute seminar. Morten's talk about "Skill and Luck in Private Equity Performance" and Steffen's "Once Bitten, Twice Shy: Do Personal Experience or Wealth Change Affect Risk Taking?" were what secured them the victory in this year's contest. The winners get to host next year's event, so we should expect the contest to take place next year here at CBS.
