Centre for Owner-Managed Businesses introduces new Head of Research

Centre for Owner-Managed Businesses is proud to welcome Professor Niels Westergård-Nielsen who accedes as Head of Research at Centre for Owner-Managed Businesses.

Niels Westergård-Nielsen is a Professor at the Department of International Economics and Management at CBS, and is a former Professor at Aarhus Business School and at the University of Aarhus.

Niels has done research for many years on occupational structures and their influence on job creation in Danish businesses. Due to his long experience as manager of Centre of Corporate Performance at Aarhus University he has an in-depth expertise in managing business-oriented research centres.

At COMB Niels will be responsible for the academic development of the centre and for the academic tasks in relation to CBS’s part of the research project ‘Growth through Business Transfer in Danish Owner-Managed Businesses’.

As Academic leader Niels will work closely together with Director of the centre Jette P. Jørgensen. While Niels will be responsible for the academic tasks, Jette will be in charge of the administrative management of COMB, our business partnerships and the distribution and communication of COMB’s research, tools and knowledge.
