Corporate governance in owner-managed and family businesses - growth and long-term value creation

Centre for Owner-Managed Businesses, Bestyrelsesforeningen and a array of partners invites to conference at Poul Due Jensen Academy, Bjerringbro.

Monday, October 19, 2015 - 10:00 to 13:30

80 % of Danish businesses are owner-managed. More than half of board of directors are family based. In good corporate governance it is of uttermost importance, that the roles and tasks of owners, board and management are clear.

23.000 Danish businesses shall go through a succession or ownership transition within the coming 10 years. The board of directors role in these transitions and successions are crucial for the future success and development of the businesses.

The conference will focus on best practice and the newest research. The conference is the forerunner of a national effort for development of corporate governance in small and medium sized companies - for the benefit of owners, businesses and society. The conference will introduce regional board-academies.
