Presentation

Ina Lauth is currently an industrial PhD fellow at the Department of Digitalization, Copenhagen Business School. She has worked from August 2014 until Aug 2017 in Grundfos Corporate R&T and lately in Grundfos Core Technology Department with different innovation teams across Grundfos on industrial hackathons with high-impact on Grundfos Sustainability Agenda 2020, esp. digital business transformation for energy efficiency and water re-use. She is currently writing her Monograph PHD Thesis as longitudinal case study about how are industrial hackathons strategically used to accelerate sustainable digital transformation in established enterprises.
Prior to her academic industrial research career, Mrs. Lauth has worked since 2012 as EU, C.R.E.A.M. PPP (sustainable infrastructures), startups and venture capital advisor, and as networking entrepreneur for cleantech startups and social capital/IMPACT investment networks in Europe, Asia and North America. Her company Lauth transmedia GmbH is one of the co-founding partners of NORDICS Cleantech Impact Network active in NORDICS SOCAP Forum on SOCAP digital entrepreneurship over several San Francisco hubs and in Silicon Valley at Nordic Innovation House, in Palo Alto, USA.  From 2002 up to 2012, she has worked in Fraunhofer Institute for Autonomous Intelligent Systems (IAIS) as EU project coordinator for two of the largest European industrial-academic Research Networks for Data Mining (KDNet, 5FP-NOE) and ubiquitous Knowledge Discovery (KDubiq, 6FP-CA) and for several other industrial applied research projects in text/web mining, telematics, ehealth and automotive areas. Currently she has served as EU project evaluator and as hackathon organizer in EU-funded projects and in IERC (IOT Smart City Groups).

Primary research areas

Strategic (IMPACT-driven) digital innovation management and acceleration of HIGH IMPACT business applications and innovation ecosystems in industrial Internet-of-Things (IIOT) environments;

Exploring new digitalization design methods for IIOT, such as:

  • IMPACT Digital innovation-by-design and DESIGN-with-IMPACT
  • IMPACT Digital prototyping, e.g. high-impact industrial hackathons (esp. Energy/Water-Digital Innovation Nexus)
  • Connecting to IMPACT business industrials and socap Makers/hackers
  • Building new IMPACT prototyping ecosystems
  • Research on resource-sharing platforms, resources (digital capital)-driven sharing economy
  • IMPACT-driven business model innovation (BMI)
  • High-impact digital prototyping
  • Sustainability Transformation given digital transformation/acceleration
  • Resiliency nexus (social, economic, environmental) and digital innovation/digital transformation

Exploration and Visualization of ACCELERATORY PROCESSES using Collaborative Innovation-by-Design:

  • Design thinking and digital innovation (hackathon, summits, innovation contests)
  • Acceleratory effects of digital innovation
  • Digital Transformation in eHeath
  • IMPACT (social, business, environmental, health, digital) capital and new digital entrepreneurship /open innovation research
