I am a designer and creative business manager specialising in sustainable business development, entrepreneurship, fashion and craft. Latest research focuses on sustainable fashion entrepreneurship, new entrepreneurial history, industrial district transformation and the role of craft in contemporary society. I integrate creativity and design thinking tools into empirical qualitative and historical analysis.
I have conducted research and teaching activities at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Iuav University of Venice and EASD University (Valencia). Professionally, I have served as Chief Commercial Officer and Partnership Development Manager for fashion manufacturers and institutions, developing international partnerships, sales strategies and client portfolios - and as a consultant supporting local product-based artisans and SMEs in optimising production processes and integrating sustainable practices. My experience includes organising international workshops and living labs, contributing to EU- and regionally funded research projects, and speaking at industry-academic forums such as Venice Design Week. As founder of a circular knitwear brand, I built a transparent, localised supply chain in the Veneto region (IT), combining high quality design with responsible sourcing.
I teach in the fields of fashion management, start-up development, entrepreneurship, innovation management, circular economy and sustainability, with a focus on bridging research and practice through experiential learning. My teaching experience includes lectures, workshops and educational visits to manufacturing companies. I have co-supervised MA and BA theses on creative business models, sustainable entrepreneurship and fashion design. My pedagogical approach combines academic rigour with hands-on engagement, encouraging students to connect theory to practice through case studies, fieldwork and collaborative projects.
