International Conference on IP & Competition Law

On February 7, 2020 CBS LAW was represented at the International Conference on IP & Competition Law in the Age of Platforms and New Technology, held at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, India. The conference addressed an important theme in the age of technology and platforms. It focused on the role of Intellectual Property Right and Competition Law in dealing with the emerging issues.

Delegates from the US, the EU, and India were invited to participate.  From CBS LAW, Associate Professor Henrik Andersen joined through skype and presented on the topic of International Trade, IP, and Competition Law from an Anti-Dumping Perspective; Assistant Professor Vishv Priya Kohli addressed the topic of Globalization and FRAND in context of Standard Essential Patents; and Assistant Professor Maria Jose Schmidt-Kessen discussed the Possibilities of having Ownership Rights in Data in the EU.
