Copenhagen Finance IT Region – Cutting edge finance and IT in the Danish Capital Region (CFIR)


Abstract:

Denmark is centrally placed between UK, Germany and the Nordic countries. A skilled workforce, a unique flexicurity system, the most e-ready nation and a good infrastructure are some of the reasons why Denmark has the best business climate in the world (Economist Intelligence Unit, 200 ).Copenhagen Finance IT Region (CFIR) is a non-profit organisation which focuses on innovation and growth within the financial and ICT sector.Behind this initiative are 14 partners including business federations, unions,universities, and the public sector. CFIR’s goal is to develop and promote the Danish and the Øresund Regional financial sector focusing on the potential of the high degree of interaction between finance and IT.
