The Power of Foreign Owners: Cross-Border Race to Influence

Abstract:

A key theme in this project is to study two sources of international power with growing impact on the Nordic business community; the EU legislature and foreign investors with activism agendas. The chosen topic is timely, innovative, and highly relevant, both when considering knowledge deficits, ongoing policy debates, and the prospects of making an impact through improved regulation. Indeed, the influence of foreign investors have increased in the aftermath of the financial crisis. Still, scientific evidence is weak.
