VP Anaphora in Danish and English (VP Anaphora)

Abstract:

The purpose is to hold a workshop in Berkeley, CA on VP Anaphora in Danish and English, bringing together 6 researchers from Denmark and the US. these researchers all have strong research records on the workshop topic, and they bring a wide variety of perspectives and theoretical frameworks. The workshop will lay the foundation for a multifaceted collaboration between the University of California at Berkeley and Copenhagen Business School, dealing with several key issues in theoretical linguistics in syntax, semantics and pragmatics. The workshop will include specific plans to produce joint publications and to develop and exploit relevant corpora and related tools and resources. The resulting collaboration will be aimed toward more ambitious large scale collaborative projects, under EU or US auspices.
