Employment Effects on Entrepreneurs with Focus on Spin-off Entrepreneurs (Iværksætter spin-off)

Abstract:

The purpose of this project is to shed light on certain aspects of the job creation process. It will be investigated how big a portion of the created jobs really are now, in so far as they are balanced by a proportionate disappearance of jobs in other enterprises in the same industry, field, and/or educational category. On this basis it will be possible to investigate what characterises these jobs, and if the portion of "real" new jobs is bigger among entrepreneurs than it is among other enterprises. Furthermore it will be investigated whether or not spin-off entrepreneurs diversify themselves from ether types of entrepreneurs, that is if the contribution to gross and net creation of jobs are higher for this type of entrepreneur.
