Congress abroad - Morten Lau

Abstract:

I would like to apply for financial support to attend The 16’th International Conference on Gambling and Risk Taking that is taking place in Las Vegas on June 6-10, 2016 (link to website). This is a biennial conference where experts in the field of gambling and risk taking around the globe get together and present their latest work. Both academics and practitioners in the field of gambling attend this conference. This is the second time that I will be presenting a paper on this conference, and I will be meeting two co-authors of the paper who are working in the United States and New Zealand, respectively. The conference provides a perfect opportunity to follow up and work on our ongoing project on characterizing the behavior of problem gamblers in Denmark.
