This project will break new ground by unveiling the organizational consequences of large-scalegrants and their implications for the university as an institutionalized organizational form. Theproject has important theoretical, empirical, and practical implications. In theoretical terms, theproject will unveil core organization-field dynamics; in empirical terms, the project will clarify how large-scale grants transform the university; in practical terms, the project will provide valuable input to stakeholders who currently deal with the implications of large-scale grants.
