Private and Social Costs of ADHD (ADHD Costs)


Abstract:

The project will attempt to answer the research question: What are the private and social costs in adults with ADHD prior to giagnosis, and in adults diagnosed early in life? To answer this question the project will:- Identify adult individuals who were diagnosed with ADHD at various ages, in particular later in life, and track their private and social costs prior to the year of diagnosis.- Measure private and social costs on a number of different dimensions, comparing the ADHD group with a number of different clinical and non-clinical control groups.The expected results will be a quantification of the myriad of private and social cotsts of undiagnosed and untreated ADHD
