Accounting and Benchmarking (Accounting and Benchmarking)

Abstract:

The aim of this project is to investigate the possibilities of integrating modern benchmark techniques in accounting agencies. In the last 30 years a series of advanced methods has been developed that do not take into account indistinguishable uses of resources and production means not meaningfully connectable to production of services to assess the performance of companies and departments. In most analyses, however, simple key figures are still used, and it is assessed that there is large potential in a better integration of modern benchmark models in the accounting methods.
