TotalFlex (TotalFlex)

Abstract:

The TotalFlex project overall aims to establish a market based relation between Balance Responsible Parties (BRP) and Distributed System Operators (DSO). The is done by using the concepts of a Commercial VPP (CVPP) and a Technical VPP (TVPP) from the EU FP7 project FENIX3 and connect those to a market place. The market place can be seen as place, where TVPP and CVPP find an optimum for electricity consumption. The aim of TotalFlex is to activate all pieces of demand response from households. This will be done by intelligent detection using existing data from meters. TotalFlex will investigate a solution to access demand response by using existing Home Automation equipment and control it as in Homeport 4 project. To characterise the demand response and make aggregation possible, theflex-offer (Micro-request) concept from the EU FP7 project MIRABEL5 will be used. In order to consider the capacity limits of the grid, simple grid models with fast calculation times will be developed. It will be investigated what is needed of online measurements and meter data in order to monitor, model and predict grid load
