Terms and conditions

1. Duration of the Reward Academy

The Reward Academy will start on April 3rd 2019 and finishes on October 23th 2019.

2. Payment for participation in the Reward Academy

There is a fee for participation in the Reward Academy of DKK 30,000 (excl. VAT). Upon registration, the participant will receive an invoice for payment of the participation fee.

After payment has been received, the participant will be granted access to the online platform, where information about meetings and material will be posted.

Payment of the participation fee grants access to the Reward Academy for one (1) period and the membership of the Reward Academy expires upon expiry of the period, unless terminated earlier in accordance with section 3.

3. Cancellation

If a participant wants to terminate his/her membership during a cycle, the participant must notify HCA Group at hc-analytics@cbs.dk and access to the Reward Academy online platform will be removed within 14 days following receipt of the termination. It is not possible to have the participation fee refunded once payment of the fee for a specific period has been made.

CBS holds the right to cancel the Reward Academy based on an insufficient number of registrations until March 23rd 2019. In this case, the participation fee will be refunded to the registered participants.

4. Confidentiality

The participants must keep information provided by the other participants during the Reward Academy meetings confidential.

The participants are not obliged to keep information confidential if,

  • The information was already in the public domain or otherwise made available to the general public by no fault of the participant.
  • The information has subsequently come into the public domain or otherwise been made available to the general public by no fault of the participant.
  • The information was already in possession of the participant or the participant has subsequently received the information from a third party not bound by confidentiality.

5. Intellectual property rights

Intellectual property rights held by a participant prior to participation in the Reward Academy or generated outside the Reward Academy during a Reward Academy period remains the sole property of the participant.

A participant’s participation in the Reward Academy does not constitute a transfer of any intellectual property rights held by the participant to any of the other participants, neither wholly nor partly, for use outside of the Reward Academy.

Any intellectual property right used by CBS and Mercer in connection with the Reward Academy is provided “as is” and any express or implied warranties are disclaimed.

6. Publication

CBS and Mercer are entitled to use information disclosed during the Reward Academy meetings for scientific purposes. Any such use will be with respect of the confidentiality obligation under section 4.

If CBS or Mercer wishes to use information on or the name of a specific participant in a scientific publication, any such publication cannot be made before the consent of the participant has been obtained.

7. Assignment

Membership of the Reward Academy is personal and cannot be transferred to another person without the prior consent of CBS and Mercer. Membership of the Reward Academy is connected to the employer of the specific participant and the employer is entitled to change the specific participant. In such case, the employer will inform HCA Group at hc-analytics@cbs.dk as soon as possible of the change.

8. Force majeure

CBS and Mercer cannot be held liable for events, which may be characterized as force majeure, such as, but not limited to, war, natural disasters and general strikes. In the event of force majeure, HCA Group will notify the participants as soon as possible.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

Participation in the Reward Academy is governed by Danish law and any disputes between CBS, Mercer and any of the participants must be settled by a Danish court of law, with the District Court of Frederiksberg being the court of first instance.
