Companies engage in offshoring (i.e., relocation of existing business activities from one country to another) for various reasons, ultimately to gain competitive advantage. By combining different sources of data and theoretical logics from international business, human capital, strategy, and economics, the thesis is an attempt to address the multi-level offshoring effects in terms of hiring (employee level), onshore performance (company level), and offshoring sentiments (public level).
