Niels Bjerre-Poulsen new president of NAAS

Associate Professor Niels Bjerre-Poulsen, director of the Center for the Study of the Americas, was elected president of the Nordic Association for American Studies at the recent conference in Växjö on May 26-29, 2005. Some 300 Americanists from the five Nordic countries are members of the Association and its biannual conferences attract a large number of researchers from the rest of Europe and the USA.
