Innovation, research based knowledge, and entrepreneurship are important factors in creating the dynamics that drive national and regional development. However, creating an entrepreneurial society is a challenging task, which includes a wide range of conflicting interests.

  1. • How to exploit research based knowledge in national and regional development?

  2. • How competitive are Danish companies when it comes to entrepreneurial abilities?

  3. • Which collaborative barriers are we facing when stimulating synergies between companies, universities and policy makers?

  4. • What are the relation between the innovation agenda and broader societal dynamics?

The conference is hold 28th January and brings together conclusions from two previous academic seminars focusing on corporate entrepreneurship and the collaboration of universities and companies.

Among the speakers are:

Dr. Shaker A. Zahra, Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship at Babson College. His research centres on high technology industries and new ventures, entrepreneurship and innovation.

Dr. Alan Irwin, Dean of Social and Environmental Studies at University of Liverpool, and Professor of Sociology. His research is focused on scientific governance and public understanding of science and technology.

Dr. Merle Jacob, visiting professor at the Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy at the Copenhagen Business School. Her particular research interests are university-industry relations, science policy and environment.
