Do a Business Plan using both European and Asian resources. A plan, original, new thinking, functional and using macro analysis, market analysis, corporate strategy, marketing, human ressource, operations strategy, functional strategy, risk analysis etc.

That was the challenge for 32 worldwide delegated competing for the "best business plan" at Case Competition The Ninth ASEF University in Manila. Two students were representing CBS - especialle selected by the Dean at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. And both won.

Student at BSc in International Business Administration and Modern Languages, Mads Langhorn, won first price for his Business Plan for Danish Technology in China - and student at Asian Study Programme, Sarah Hempel, became second for her Busines Plan Danish Design Fashion in Japan.

Mads Langhorn says, "Normally you use months thinking the perfect business plan but here we used nights as well. Winning was great. Both because I had to defend my business plan to some of the "heavy boys", amongst those CEO for L'Oreal in Asia and the CFO for Sony, but also because it shows that CBS has no problem with joining issues with other business schools in the world."

Sarah Hempel, being Danish/Canadian, continues, "We were glad to be the only school that had both representatives qualify. I think that our education in CBS was an asset in this competition. CBS had us well prepared and the curriculum in the Asian Studies Programme provided an exceptional base of knowledge to work with on this project."
