Bent Meier Sørensen

Do not miss out on the last CBS Library Forum event of the season. This time about the power held over us by our many digital devices.

To help us better understand the phenomenon, we are very happy to introduce Bent Meier Sørensen, professor with the Department of Management, Politics, and Philosophy and author of the book Skærmens Magi / the Magic of the Screen.

In his book, Professor Meier Sørensen takes a closer look at the power of screens and its implications in our daily lives. The book was nominated for the Blixen Literary Award for "Best Non-Fiction of 2018” and been selected by The Danish Arts Foundation as one of ten non-fiction books from 2018 to be promoted abroad.

CBS Library writing consultant Thomas Basbøll will engage Professor Meier Sørensen in a discussion on a range of related issues: from fake news to big data, from social media to artificial intelligence, from Gollum, if you will, to the Golem, we will try to make sense of the technology that increasingly holds us in its sway.

The event is free and no registration required.
