EU flag

If you are looking for literature, information or documents about EU CBS Library gives access to a number of resources.

Here follows a short presentation of some of the key resources.

Official documents in EUR-lex

EUR-lex is the key EU information resource to find the public documents from EU such as the EU law (treaties, directives, resolutions etc.), the case law and the Official Journal of EU dating back to 1952.

Literature in ECLAS

ECLAS is the search system of the European Commission Library. This catalogue contains a wealth of books and articles from more than 200 journals from commercial publishers in many languages but mostly English, French and German.

Statistics in Eurostat

Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union. Its task is to provide the European Union with statistics at European level that enable comparisons between countries and regions. A good starting point is Statistics Explained that explains what the statistics contains and what key sources you should look at.

Topic specific information

ESO (European Sources Online) contains information on the institutions and activities of the European Union. One of the key features is the Information Guides that helps you find relevant sources and organisations within a long list of topics such as Energy policy, European Economic Data or Euro scepticism.
On EU's official website you find “EU by topic” – another good information resource to find information by topic.

The Danish angle from the EU Information Centre

At the EU information Centre you find a presentation of the Danish relationship to EU and a wealth of information about EU issues in Folketinget (the Danish Parliament). You can also find documents from The European Affairs Committee (Europa-udvalget) which plays a central role. Before a Danish Minister heads off to Brussels to make decisions at the Council of Ministers, he or she will have appeared before the European Affairs Committee to obtain what is known as a mandate for negotiation. You find all documents related to Folketinget and EU under the headline “Dokumenter” (in Danish).
