Use Kompass EasyBusiness, when you want to locate companies by product or industry. It has a very detailed classification of companies and products and is a good supplement to other company databases.

Index cards for business connections

Kompass/Easy Business is a company directory of some 5 million companies worldwide, including 43,000 Danish companies.

It contains information on companies as well as commodities and services, brand names, and trademarks. Kompass/Easy Business is a good supplement to other company databases when you want to locate companies by product or industry. The information stems from self-reporting.

Main strength is the detailed product codes

The main strength of Kompass/Easy Business is the very detailed classification of companies into product codes. The database boasts more than 50.000 different products/services compared to approx. 800 industries in other code systems such as DB07 (Dansih Statistical Bureau), NACE (Eurostat) and NAICS (US Census).

Using the database

To launch your search click the “Add a filter” and choose how to search.

Who operates in the industry?
To find companies within a specific industry use the Kompass classification found under “activities”. Click your way to the relevant industrial code or do a text search.
Tip! Check the industrial codes of companies you already know in the industry and see how they classifies themselves.

Geographic location
If you wish to limit your search to a specific country, area or city select “Location”

Company, brand, or trademark information
Search a company by simply clicking “company info” and then select your search criteria e.g. company name, brand name or trademark.

Export areas
Use the “Refine my search” to search export and import areas as well as other filters.

Language, print, and export files

•    Language - Default interface language setting is Danish, but English is available
•    Download (print) / data export - Download is only available to PDF and only for company profiles – not company lists.
•    The database is limited to two simultaneous users. Please log out after use.

Financial information is not available
Financial information is not available in EasyBusiness. Please use Navne & Numre Erhverv to find financial information on Danish Companies or Orbis for companies worldwide.den.

How to access Kompass EasyBusiness

CBS students and staff can access the database where ever they are. Other users can access it at CBS Library Solbjerg Plads.
